Mata kuliah ini bertujuan membangun pemahaman, kesadaran dan partisipasi mahasiswa sebagai bagian dari penduduk dunia yang ikut bertanggung jawab meningkatkan dan menerapkan nilai-nilai positif melalui pendidikan. By the end of this course, it is also expected that students will enhance their reading fluency and develop their habit of reading fiction. To achieve this goal, students have to pick their own reading materials on fiction such as short stories, read them on their own outside the classroom, and present to the class what they learn from and think of the stories they have read. Fiction is selected as a focus in this course as it consists of everyday language and interesting stories. The overarching goal of this course is to build up students’ language competence in general.

This course aims at enhancing students’ reading skills and strategies as well as developing their competence in how to write good sentences and transform them into a paragraph with clear organization and coherence. In addition, students are expected to incorporate critical thinking when expressing ideas.ģ. By the end of this course, the students are able to communicate confidently, fluently and accurately in non-formal settings by applying appropriate listening and speaking strategies. This course is aimed at developing students’ basic listening and speaking abilities through various types of activities in everyday contexts. IKW 103 Listening & Speaking Fundamentals In addition to providing learners with grammar learning strategies, the course will equip them with communication strategies that can help them use the taught grammar meaningfully and communicatively beyond the classroom, which is the main goal of this course.Ģ. The learning tasks are learner-centered and designed to raise learners’ awareness of the target structures. Learners will be guided to figure out the meanings and functions of the target structures as well as the formations of the structures. Hopefully, this script would give a positive contribution to the educational development or those who want to carry out further research.Grammar Fundamentals is designed to present learners with basic grammar in natural contexts along with natural communicative speaking and writing learning tasks. Special thankfullness is also due to his beloved sister Tika Listiana and Eliza Damayanti, also my grandmother and grandfather for their loves, prayers, supports.
